About CPAD:
Cameron Park Airport District (CPAD) is a California Special District that manages both:
Cameron Park Airport
Street Maintenance of adjoining residential neighborhood.
General Overview
Job Title: District/Airport0Manager
Employment Type: Part-time, W-2 / averages 20-30 hours per week with seasonal adjustments.
Salary: $25-$33 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
Job Summary:
The District/Airport Manager supports the fiscal and managerial functions of Cameron Park Airport District by
performing detailed financial analysis, preparing reports, assisting in budgeting processes, and ensuring
compliance with public sector accounting standards, FAA regulations. The position involves :
1) Manage aspects of District revenue and expenses
2) Responsible for management of existing and potential future bonds.
3) Responsible for revenue management including writing and managing grants with FAA & other government entities.
4) Analyze financial trends,
5) contribute to strategic financial planning to ensure effective stewardship of public funds.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze financial data and performance indicators to assist in operations management, budget management
and strategic plans related to District (non-airport) and Airport.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders,
including state and federal agencies.
Assist in developing and monitoring the annual operating and capital budgets.
Conduct cost-benefit and variance analysis to identify trends and recommend fiscal
adjustments.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Aviation or a related field or equivalent
years of experience in the field.
3–5 years of experience in financial management related to airport and public funding operations.
Knowledge of governmental accounting standards (e.g., GASB, GAAP).
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with public budgeting, fund accounting and grant reporting.
Familiarity with federal and state financial reporting requirements.
Knowledge of or familiarity with airport operations, management.
Knowledge of or familiarity with County apportionment, special assessments, bond
authorizations.
