 Cameron Park Airport
 Street Maintenance of adjoining residential neighborhood.

General Overview
Job Title: Financial and Accounting Analyst
Department: Finance / Accounting
Location: Hybrid, Cameron Park Airport and remote. Split time varies and TBD.
Reports To: Cameron Park Board of Directors, Treasurer
Employment Type: Part-time, W-2 / averages 25-30 hours per month with seasonal adjustments.
Salary: $25-$33 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications

Job Summary:
The Financial and Accounting Analyst supports the fiscal operations of Cameron Park Airport District by
performing detailed financial analysis, preparing reports, assisting in budgeting processes, and ensuring
compliance with public sector accounting standards, FAA regulations. The position involves using
QuickBooks software to:
1) Manage aspects of District revenue and expenses (a/p, a/r, bank deposits and reconciliation)
2) Using online Point of Sale software (POS) process and reconcile credit card payments.
3) Manage all aspects of payroll,
4) Analyze financial trends,
5) Identify and assist in securing grants related to Airport operations, and
6) contribute to strategic financial planning to ensure effective stewardship of public funds.

Key Responsibilities:
 Analyze financial data and performance indicators to assist in budget preparation, forecasting,
and strategic planning.
 Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders,
including state and federal agencies.
 Reconcile accounts, review transactions for accuracy, and ensure adherence to GAAP and
applicable government accounting standards (e.g., GASB).
 Assist in developing and monitoring the annual operating and capital budgets.
 Conduct cost-benefit and variance analysis to identify trends and recommend fiscal
adjustments.
 Ensure timely processing and review of journal entries, accruals, and interdepartmental charges.

 Support external and internal audits by providing financial documentation and responding to
inquiries.
 Maintain and improve financial systems, databases, and reporting tools (QuickBooks, QTPOD
(processes credit card purchases with credit cards).
 Ensure compliance with financial policies, procurement rules, and regulatory requirements.
 Provide training or support to departments regarding financial procedures and tools.

Preferred Qualifications:
 Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Public Administration, or a related field or equivalent
years of experience in the field.
 3–5 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or auditing, preferably in a government
or public-sector environment.
 Knowledge of governmental accounting standards (e.g., GASB, GAAP).
 Proficiency in Microsoft Productivity Suite, QuickBooks and other related business automation
tools.

Desired Qualifications:
 CPA, CGFM, or CMA certification.
 Experience with public budgeting, fund accounting and grant reporting.
 Familiarity with federal and state financial reporting requirements.
 Knowledge of or familiarity with airport operations, management.
 Knowledge of or familiarity with County apportionment, special assessments, bond
authorizations.
